The short version
- We collect only what we need to run the shop and your account.
- We never sell your information, and we don’t use advertising or tracking tools.
- You can change your details, stop the newsletter, or delete your account yourself.
Who we are
This site is run by Magicians Keep LLC, based in Arizona. Questions go to magicianskeep@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Your account: your name, email and newsletter choice. Your password is stored in scrambled form, and nobody at the Keep can read it.
- Your details, if you add them: phone number and shipping address.
- Your orders: your name and email, what you reserved, where to ship it, prices, discount codes, your notes and tracking numbers.
- Adults-only orders: your date of birth and your age confirmation, sent to us with your order. Your date of birth is also kept on your own device so you don’t have to type it again.
- Your lessons: which lessons you own, and when you first started each one, because returns depend on it.
- Gifts: your friend’s name and email, so we can send them their gift code.
- Booking requests: your name, email, phone if you give it, and your event’s date, place and guest count, with anything else you tell us.
- The games: your firefly count, reward, and progress in the Keep’s hidden trail.
- Messages you send us. A bug report also includes the page you name, and your kind of device and browser.
How we use it
We use it to fill your orders, deliver your lessons, answer you, send the emails your account and orders need, keep the site safe, and meet our legal and tax duties. We send the newsletter only if you ask for it.
The Firefly Board
If you catch enough fireflies, other members may see your first name, the first letter of your last name, and your count on the Firefly Board. You can hide yourself from the board at any time.
Cookies and your device
We don’t use advertising or analytics cookies. The site stores a few things on your own device so it works properly: your sign-in, your satchel, your music setting, your firefly count, and which notices you’ve closed. You can clear these in your browser settings, though you’ll then be signed out and your satchel will empty.
The site doesn’t follow you to other websites, and it doesn’t act differently when your browser sends a “Do Not Track” signal.
Who helps us
We never sell your information or share it for anyone else’s marketing. We use these services to run the Keep, and they handle information only as needed to do that job:
- Cloudflare hosts the site, checks forms for spam, and forwards email.
- Supabase stores accounts, orders and shop data.
- Resend delivers our emails and keeps the newsletter list.
- Google provides our email inbox, where forms and orders arrive, and the site’s fonts. Loading the fonts lets Google see your device’s internet address.
- YouTube or Vimeo may play a video if it’s hosted with them, and they may collect information once you press play.
- Our payment provider takes your payment when you use a payment link. We never see your full card number.
- Shipping carriers receive your name and address to deliver your order.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect people or the Keep from harm or fraud.
Your choices
- See or change your details: go to Your Chamber.
- Stop the newsletter: use the link in any newsletter, or change the setting in Your Chamber.
- Orders made without an account: we keep them with your name and email. If you later make an account with that email, they appear in it.
- Delete your account: go to Your Chamber. This removes your account, details, ledger and bookshelf from our system, and stops the newsletter.
- Ask us anything else: write to magicianskeep@gmail.com to ask what we hold about you, or to ask us to correct or delete it.
Emails you’ve sent us, and records we must keep for tax or legal reasons, may stay after an account is deleted.
Keeping it safe
We use secure connections and limit who can reach your information. No system is perfect, so please use a strong password that you don’t use anywhere else.
Children
The Keep’s accounts are for people 13 and older. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you think a child under 13 has given us information, write to magicianskeep@gmail.com and we’ll delete it.
Where this applies
We’re based in the United States and sell to United States addresses. Your information is stored and handled in the United States and possibly elsewhere by the services above.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update it here and change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we’ll let members know by email.
