The terms.

The rules of the house, in plain words.

Who we are

Magicians Keep (magicianskeep.com) is run by Magicians Keep LLC, based in Arizona. “We” and “us” mean Magicians Keep LLC. You can reach us at magicianskeep@gmail.com.

By using the site or buying from us, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.

Accounts

You must be 13 or older to make an account. If you’re under 18, please have a parent or guardian make any purchase for you. If we learn an account belongs to a child under 13, we’ll delete it.

Keep your password to yourself, as you’re responsible for what happens under your account. We may close an account that breaks these terms. You can delete your own account at any time in Your Chamber.

Reservations and orders

You don’t need an account to reserve. If you make one later with the same email, your orders and lessons will appear there. Putting items in your satchel and reserving them doesn’t charge you and isn’t yet a sale. We write back, usually within a day or two, with a payment link showing the final price, including shipping and any sales tax. The sale is made when you pay.

Prices are in US dollars. We try hard to get every price, picture and description right. If we get one wrong, or an item runs out, we’ll tell you before you pay, or refund you if you already have. We may decline an order.

Returns, refunds and delivery are covered in Returns and shipping.

Adults-only items

Items marked 18+, including fire magic, are sold only to adults. We ask for your date of birth, and an adult must sign for the parcel. We may refuse any order we think breaks this rule, or where the law at the delivery address doesn’t allow the item.

Using what you buy

Follow the instructions and any warnings that come with an item. Fire items can cause burns and fires. Use them only as instructed, away from anything flammable, and never near children. You’re responsible for following local rules, and for the safety of your audience when you perform. Keep small parts away from small children.

Video lessons

A trick may come with a lesson, which its card will say. Lessons land on your bookshelf once your order is paid, and you need a free account to watch them. We note when you first start a lesson, by playing a video or opening a page with writing, because returns depend on it.

Buying a lesson gives you a personal right to watch it on your own account, for your own learning. It doesn’t give you the lesson itself. Please don’t copy, download, share, post or resell it, and don’t pass your account to others. You’re welcome to perform what you learn.

Lessons stay on your bookshelf for as long as your account is open and the Keep is running. If you delete your account, your lessons go with it. If we ever have to stop offering lessons, we’ll give you notice first.

Gift codes, deals and rewards

Booking Gimbly the Great

We confirm your price in writing. A deposit of 25% holds your date, and the balance is due on the day of the show unless your quote says otherwise.

Please give us the space and setup we agree on, as we can’t safely perform without it. Please keep your guests clear of the performance area when asked.

Our words and pictures

The pictures, videos, words, games and designs on this site belong to us or those who licensed them to us. Please don’t copy or reuse them without asking. Please don’t try to break into the site, get around its limits, or use it to harm others.

If something goes wrong

We work hard to keep the site running and everything accurate, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we provide the site as it is, and our total responsibility for any claim about an item or service is limited to what you paid us for it. We aren’t responsible for indirect losses. Nothing here takes away rights you have under the law that can’t be waived.

Sorting out problems

If something isn’t right, please write to us first. Most things can be fixed with an email. These terms are governed by the laws of Arizona, apart from any rules that would require another place’s law. Any dispute that can’t be settled goes to the courts of Arizona, though you may always use small claims court where you qualify, and nothing here stops you from contacting a government consumer agency.

Changes

We may update these terms and will change the date at the top when we do. The terms in place when you place an order apply to that order.
